Quality Coffee Packaging should protect the beans for at least 12 months (although preferably the coffee should be consumed much earlier).

Since coffee beans are porous, they absorb moisture quickly. When storing coffee, you should keep it as dry as possible. If the beans absorb moisture, the quality of the cup will suffer. In addition, you must keep the coffee beans in an airtight packaging that protects them from sunlight. The valve must also be strong and resistant to abrasion.

So how can you ensure that your packaging meets all these conditions and is as sustainable as possible?

Multi-layer structures protect coffee beans more effectively than single-layer structures. A single layer of material does not usually provide the necessary strength, therefore flexible packaging usually has a minimum of two layers.
